John Mayer Donates 'Heart Of Life' Song To Haiti Efforts

February 04, 2010

By By Connor McKnight, N.Y.

John Mayer is once again throwing his support behind the American Red Cross relief efforts in Haiti.

The singer-songwriter has donated his song "The Heart of Life" -- from his 2006 album "Continuum" -- to a national TV and radio public service announcement about the devastating Jan. 12 earthquake.

Viewable at here, the Red Cross PSA highlights individual contributions towards Haiti earthquake relief, ranging from neighborhood yard sales to small business donations.

In addition to the PSA, Mayer has made a donation of $500,000 to the American Red Cross through his Back To You Fund. In January, the artist performed on the CNN special "Haiti: How You Can Help," which raised more than $5.8 Million for the Red Cross.
