By By Howell Llewellyn, Madrid

Spanish singer David Bisbal has registered this year's biggest first-week album shipment in Spain at more than 120,000 units, or double platinum, with 36,332 retail sales, according to the Media Control album chart, where he debuts Oct. 28 (today) at No 1.

Bisbal is also enjoying his first No. 1 on the Billboard Top Latin Album?s chart in the US with "Sin Mirar Atras" (Universal/Vale Music), according to Nielsen Soundscan. The album inched past Aventura?s "The Last" to claim the No. 1 spot on the chart.

Bisbal presented his new album in three countries on either side of the Atlantic in 36 hours on Oct. 20 and 21 - at Madrid's Barajas Airport, where Spanish airline Air Europa named an aircraft after him, and from where he flew to Cancun in Mexico, and in the United States.

He is the most successful of the contestants of Spain's original TV talent reality show, ?Operaci?n Triunfo,? although he only came second the year he competed.

The album's first single, ?Esclavo De Sus Besos,? is also No. 1 in Spanish digital sales, and reached No. 1 in iTunes in the US, Mexico and Spain. The single is No. 1 on Billboard?s Hot Latin Songs chart, and No. 1 in sales in Chile, Argentina, Spain, Colombia and Central America, and in the Top 5 in Mexico and the rest of Latin America, according to the label.
