By By Ayala Ben-Yehuda, L.A.

Mun2 scored the best ratings in its history during yesterday?s broadcast of
the USA vs. Mexico qualifying soccer match for the World Cup. The bilingual cable channel was the only English-language broadcaster of the match, whose rights are held by parent network Telemundo.

According to Nielsen, the game on mun2 averaged 322,000 viewers live and 385,000 viewers when same-day DVR playback of the game was included. The channel says it scored record viewership in the Adult 18-49, Adult 25-54, men 12-34, men 18-34, men 18-49, men 25-49 and men 25-54 demos.

Nielsen?s numbers only reflect in-home viewing, not sports bars or other
public places where the game was shown (such as the Hollywood & Highland mall in Los Angeles). Mun2 was offered to cable and satellite providers for free on game day.

The mun2 Web site holamun2.com saw a 214% increase in unique users on game day, according to the channel.
