March 12, 2008

By By Ann Donahue, L.A.

Lionsgate Music has inked TV composer David Vanacore for an exclusive three-year worldwide publishing deal.

Lionsgate will administer Vanacore's catalogue, which includes music from CBS's "Survivor" and "Big Brother" and Fox's "Are You Smarter Than A 5th Grader?"

Lionsgate has teamed with Vanacore before; he composted the music for the company's syndicated game show "Trivial Pursuit."

"This deal is an enormous win/win for both Lionsgate and David," says Lionsgate Music president Jay Faires."It gives us access to David's enormous repertoire of reality television music, which has many future applications for us, and it also enables Lionsgate to help him continue his remarkable track record in such new areas as film composing, advertising and scripted TV."
