R&B/Hip-Hop Briefs: DMX, T.I., Wayman Tisdale

-Rapper DMX joined the cast of the upcoming horror film, "The Bleeding." The movie is produced by Michael Tadross Jr., executive producer Frank Capra III and co-producer Charbel Youssef. "The Bleeding" will begin shooting in North Carolina this April. The film also stars William McNamara, Rachelle Leah, Kat Von D and Def Jam artist, Pittsburgh Slim.

- Rapper T.I., who is currently under house arrest for various gun charges, was given permission by a judge to attend Easter church service in his hometown of Atlanta this weekend, according to Atlanta's NBC channel 11 news. T.I.'s upcoming court date has yet to be scheduled.

- NBA-star-turned-bass guitarist, Wayman Tisdale, will release his upcoming album, "Rebound," set for a June 3 release on Rendezvous Entertainment (Patti Austin, Kirk Whalum.) The set features a remake of Barry White's "Never Gonna Give You Up" and a collaboration with country singer Toby Keith. Brian Simpson, Marvin Sapp and Dave Koz are among the other guest features on the set.

"Rebound," Tisdale's eighth album, follows 2006's "Way Up!" which sold 68,000 according to Nielsen SoundScan. Tisdale, who recovered from bone cancer last year, retired from the NBA in 1997.
