Johnny Cash Remix Set Gets U.K. Release

An album featuring remixed interpretations of Johnny Cash classics, "Johnny Cash Remixed," will be released in the U.K. June 15 through Edel entertainment's international rock label earMusic. The set was released in the U.S. Oct. 14 2008 by indie label Compadre.

Snoop Dogg, Cash's son John Carter Cash and Mathew Knowles were executive producers, while album features such artists as Alabama 3, the Heavy and Buck 65.

The original tracks, licensed from Sun Records, were recorded by Cash and his first band the Tennessee Two during 1956 to 1959.

"Johnny Cash Remixed" will also be available in a limited edition package, which includes a documentary DVD about the making of the album.
