Eagles Land At CMA Awards

The Eagles will make their first-ever awards show performance at the 41st Annual CMA Awards in November. The band joins previously announced performers Brooks & Dunn, Kenny Chesney, Martina McBride, Brad Paisley, Rascal Flatts, George Strait, Sugarland, Josh Turner, Carrie Underwood and Keith Urban.

The Eagles "How Long," is the first single from the group's Oct. 30 double album "Long Road Out of Eden," is at No. 28 on Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart,

In 1993, Eagles drummer and vocalist Don Henley was nominated for CMA vocal event of the year with Trisha Yearwood for "Walkaway Joe," which the two performed together during the 1992 awards. In 1994, "Common Thread: The Songs of The Eagles" won top album honors. The project featured country stars, including Brooks & Dunn, Vince Gill, Alan Jackson and Travis Tritt, performing Eagles' hits.

The CMA Awards air live on Nov. 7 on ABC from the Sommet Center in Nashville.
