Digital entertainment retailer eMusic has bolstered its classical/jazz roster with a number of label signings including UK-based Chandos Records, Telarc and Harmonia Mundi.
Chandos Records is home to British conductor Richard Hickox; Telarc boasts a roster with jazz greats McCoy Tyner and Arturo Sandoval; and Harmonia Mundi is home to Belgian conductor Phillipe Herreweghe and countertenor/conductor René Jacobs.
To kick off the deal, Harmonia Mundi plans to release a free sampler available exclusively to eMusic customers, which will include baroque and classical repertoire, as well as American folk songs and spirituals.
