Ashanti To Return With 'The Declaration' April 02, 2008

Ashanti's third album, "The Declaration" is set for a June 3 release via The Inc./Universal Motown. Robin Thicke, Jermaine Dupri, LT Hutton, Babyface, and Pharrell Williams are among the album's producers.
Her first single "The Way That I Love You," currently sits at No. 18 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart.
Recently the singer's clip for "The Way That I Love You" garnered the No. 1 most viewed slot on MTV.com and reached No. 2 on the TRL countdown in it's first week of release.
Ashanti's last album, "Concrete Rose," has sold 871,000 units to-date, according to Nielsen SoundScan. In other news, the singer is also working on a teen-skewed lifestyle book entitled, "Ashanti Style" via Jump at the Sun/Hyperion. No release date has been announced yet.
