Telemundo Names Lamadrid VP Of Specials November 12, 2009

Pilar Lamadrid has been named VP of Specials for Telemundo. In her new position, she will report directly to Derek Bond, senior VP, studios, production and broadcast operations. Long a key player in the annual Billboard Latin Music awards, Lamadrid will now oversee original productions and acquired entertainment specials, with a focus on growing her department and developing creative sponsorship integrations.
Lamadrid will continue to oversee production of "La Alfombra Roja de Premios Billboard," the Billboard Latin music awards red carpet pre-show, as well as production logistics and staffing for Premios Billboard. Lamadrid was most recently director for specials at Telemundo, a position she held since 2001.
Christian Riehl will continue to report to Derek Bond and be the executive in charge of Levántate, and Premios Billboard with Tony Mojena as executive producer.
